The New Contactless Way to Pay
Apple Pay® is a new service that allows you to use your R Bank debit card without reaching for your wallet. Whether you are purchasing in stores, online, or in an app, Apple Pay provides you with a simple, secure, and private way to pay.
Now, R Bank customers who have eligible debit cards can add those cards to Apple Pay and use their iPhone 6® or newer iPhone to pay quickly without physically swiping their card.
How Does It Work?
Apple Pay® uses near-field communication (NFC) contactless technology to safely exchange data between you and the business’ point-of-sale (POS) system. Simply hold your iPhone 6 near the contactless reader.
If the business accepts contactless payments today, you can start using Apple Pay® right away. Simply look for one of these symbols when you’re ready to pay.

Apple Pay® is a convenient and safe way to make purchases. When you make payments with Apple Pay:
- The full card number is not stored on the device or shown to the merchant
- You can get account activity alerts and view your transactions on your mobile device

Google Pay®
The New Contactless Way to Pay
With Google Pay®, you can now pull out your phone rather than dig out your wallet. Your R Bank debit card works easily and securely with select Android devices wherever contactless payments are available. Online purchases, too.
You can pay wherever Google Pay® is available without physically swiping your card. You won’t even need to open an app to do it.
How Does It Work?
Look for these symbols wherever you make purchases to ensure they accept contactless payment. Then, it’s a matter of simply holding your Android near the business’ point-of-sale (POS) system. The two devices do all the work, exchanging your payment data. It doesn’t get much simpler than that.

Using your Samsung devices, transactions are authorized by your fingerprint or a PIN code. That way, you can rest assured of complete security – without physically swiping your card.
