If your family qualifies for the monthly payments under the American Rescue Plan Act, you do not need to do anything. ONLY the IRS will send the payments – anyone trying to ‘help’ you receive your child tax credit is really after your money. The government (IRS) will NEVER call, text, email, or DM you asking for information to process your payment. IRS.gov is the ONLY and FINAL source for information about these payments.
