Professional Background

Hollis has been in the banking industry for 27 years, starting with a small community bank in south Austin in 1994. He ultimately moved his office to the Round Rock market in 2001, where he has lived since 1994 and has been an active member of the business community ever since.

Hollis joined R Bank in 2013 and is currently an Executive Vice President and Banking Center President.

Education

Originally from Houston, Hollis moved to Austin in 1983 to attend the University of Texas and St. Edward’s University, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance in 1993.

Community Involvement

Served on the Board of Directors for the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce from 2006 to 2010 and was Chairman of the Board in 2008.

An Eagle Scout himself, he was the District Chairman for the Chisholm Trail District of the Boy Scouts in 2011-2012 and 2017-2019.

Hollis has served numerous non-profit organizations in the Central Texas area as a volunteer and board member. Hollis is currently serving as a Director for the Round Rock Police Foundation, the YMCA, Round Rock ISD Partner in Education, and the Lone Star Regional Water Authority.

He served on the Planning & Zoning Commission for the City of Round Rock from 2013 to 2016 and was reappointed in 2021. He also currently serves on the city’s Momentum Advisory Committee.

Activities And Interests

Hollis is a baseball fanatic. He played baseball in high school and college and currently plays in the Austin Metro Baseball League, where he has played for the last 24 years. Music is a lifelong passion, whether he is singing, listening, or playing various instruments. He also likes woodworking, mainly building custom tables or other “farmhouse style” furniture.
